Hand & Upper Limb Therapy (CHT)

Hand and upper limb therapy, particularly when dealing with post-traumatic and post-surgery conditions, involves a specialized approach to achieve optimal results. Certified Hand Therapists (CHT) have completed post-graduate training in the management of a wide variety of upper extremity & hand conditions. We tailor our interventions to the specific needs and goals of each patient. We often work collaboratively with surgeons, physicians, and other healthcare professionals involved in the patient's care.

CHT services include wound care, stitch/staple removal, custom splint fabrication, sensory evaluation & desensitization, specialized exercise programs, return-to-work assistance and functional re-integration.

Custom Hand & Upper Limb Bracing

As part of our hand & upper limb service, we fabricate custom hand and upper limb braces. Using a low-temperature thermoplastic material, we can construct a unique brace for the specific needs of the patient. The material is molded directly on your hand or arm and adjusted till it’s a perfect fit.

We also carry some specialized over-the-counter braces that are difficult to find.

After a thorough assessment, we can recommend the best brace option for your condition.
